Privacy

Your data stays yours.

The short version: the speed test runs in your browser, the data it sends to measure upload speed is discarded the moment it arrives, and your results are never saved on our servers.

What we don't collect

We don't store your speed results, we don't keep the data your browser uploads during the upload test, and we don't require an account or any personal information to use the tool.

What is processed during a test

To run the upload measurement, your browser sends randomly generated data to our server, which counts how many bytes arrive and then discards them — nothing is written to disk. To show your connection details, the server reads the IP address your request arrives from; this is used only to display it back to you during the test and is not logged to a database by the test itself.

Server logs

Like virtually all websites, the hosting provider may keep standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) for security and operational purposes. These are managed by the host, not used to build profiles, and not linked to your speed results.

Cookies and analytics

If analytics or advertising are enabled on this site, they are governed by a consent prompt where required. Essential functioning of the speed test requires no cookies. This section will name any analytics or ad provider in use; update it before launch to reflect your actual setup.
